East Leeds archaeology webinar

On the East Leeds Orbital Route (ELOR) we are currently undertaking an extensive programme of archaeological investigation works prior to constructing the new road using a specialist archaeology company. This involves the excavation of 219 trial trenches between Red Hall and Manston Lane as well as metal detection works between Red Hall and Wood Lane as a mitigation technique to investigate the possibility of recovering battle field archaeology from the battle of Winwaed.

There has been a lot of local interest in the archaeology works so we have set up a webinar which will provide the opportunity to engage with the specialists and find out more about the works that are currently ongoing. This include a virtual tour of a section of the works and showing some of the artifacts found. Please see the details of the webinar below:
