Leeds East Labour acknowledges that there are many barriers within society and within the party itself that can make it difficult for those who are neurodiverse or who have a disability to participate fully.
In December 2020 we passed a motion which committed us to proactively working to remove barriers to participation within our CLP. As part of this we resolved to not only respond promptly to barriers that are brought to our attention, but to work with our disabled and neurodiverse members to make the CLP more inclusive and regularly review our policy. Members can see the full text of the motion in Leeds East Members and Representatives Only private Facebook Group. (see our Social Media page)
As a result of this we are in the process of reviewing access at all levels within our CLP and would encourage all disabled and neurodiverse members to get in touch if they would like to contribute to this review.
